History There has been a place of Christian worship on the site of the current church in Great Stukeley for well over a thousand years and the church, dedicated to St Bartholomew, has stood here for close tor 800 years. This ancient church was mentioned in the Doomsday Survey of 1086 when the land belonged to the Countess Judith and the subsequent transfers of the land are documented and can be traced through to present ownership |
